Hey Marko,
ISPCAN stands for International Society for Prevention of Child
Abuse and Neglect. My band and I want to set up a benefit
show at Xcalibur Club for this cause. I know there are
many venues around Kansas which would be ecstatic about doing
this show, but I will only do this show this year IF I can do it
at Xcalibur Club. Reason: I'm fucking tired of people thinking
that the gay society is filled with child molesters.
Statistically GLBT's do not molest more than identified
heterosexuals. I think having an
ISPCAN
benefit show at Xcalibur Club will bring much needed attention
to two causes: Most importantly the organization, second would
be the inaccurate stereotype that members of the GLBT are more
likely to be child molesters (the strongest, and also the most
inaccurate, argument against gay adoption). Our band name
is oreaganomics. I promise more established bands, and a
good turnout.
